The Renewable Energy Target (RET) legislation was passed by the Commonwealth Parliament on 20 August 2009. This represents a major step forward in the development of the renewable energy industry in Australia.

This article provides an introduction to the Renewable Energy Target, and looks at some of the possible implications for business.

Climate change is one of the biggest challenges facing Victoria's environment, economy and society.
