Introducing ‘Energy Doctor Check-ups’ - a new solution for small and medium sized businesses in Melbourne who are struggling with rising electricity costs. 

Many energy ‘solution’ providers simply shop around for the best rates on your behalf. Aside from earning a healthy commission - which no doubt is passed onto the consumer -  this services requires long  contracts with suppliers, putting your business at the mercy of increasing energy costs (which may even double by 2015*).  Wouldn’t it be better to simply reduce energy consumption?

I’m looking for information relating to GHG emissions measurement and reduction strategies at a local government level. Not the LGA itself but across the whole community (households, industry, recreation, transport, construction, facilities etc).

Specifically:

Case studies: what’s worked, what hasn’t, barriers etc.

Emissions inventories for whole communities: activities > emissions sources > quantification strategies/sources

Cost abatement curves for community level reductions.

With businesses and consumers being increasingly encouraged to measure, the number of data sources has increased significantly. The roll out of smart metering, submetering & virtual metering, expanded utilisation of Building Management Systems, ERP/SAP systems or raw utility bills can rapidly transform your energy/carbon management function into a data management problem.

Im interested to learn how the various software providers tackle the data management issue and how their systems work to monitor and improve data quality. Does anyone have any experiences they can comment on?

Looking for a reputable source for emissions resulting from mains water.  Scope 2 and 3 emissions where possible.
